Tour Across America on the Lincoln Highway

Jim Bonar, Nevada State Director of the Lincoln Highway Association, will give a presentation of the Lincoln Highway across America. The Lincoln Highway Association was responsible for the mapping and definition of the first transcontinental highway across the country and was formed on October 31, 1913.  Jim’s presentation will explain how the association was formed and the evolution of the highway until its demise in 1926.  In the presentation you will view an array of old photographs and short films, taken of the highway during the time of its existence, while Jim gives you a tour across the country on the Lincoln Highway. The program will include many photos and maps, of the highway’s paths across Nevada and the Sierra.  Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 2:00 pm; The Sparks Museum & Cultural Center, 814 Victorian Avenue, Sparks, NV 89431, (775) 355-1144.  Free admission to the Museum and the presentation.
